ViDAR (Visual Detection and Ranging) is the first passive multi-domain AI-enabled optical sensor designed for use over sea and land. Persistent Surveillance

Sense farther from a greater standoff distance by scanning over a wide area, with the flexibility to switch to persistent overwatch for reconnaissance missions. ViDAR can detect and track multiple objects at altitudes up to 30,000 feet and requires only a few pixels to detect a person or a small drone on the edge, providing immediate situational awareness.

Capable of Target Detection in Sea State 6

Passive wide-area maritime search capabilities include people, fishing buoys, dark vessels, and objects with low radar cross-section up to sea state 6. ViDAR utilizes AI-enabled electro-optical and infrared sensors to detect, geolocate, classify, and track targets of interest in challenging environments, expanding the coverage area by 220 times compared to a typical EO camera’s narrow FOV alone. ViDAR is scalable to meet the SWaP requirements of various UAS groups, rotary-wing, and fixed-wing aircraft.
